The Ontario
Gesneriad Society Of Guelph is a non-profit organization representing
Southern-Central Ontario for the Gesneriad Society an
international group. We warmly welcome anyone interested in this
diverse group of plants. Members grow many types of Gesneriads;
a plant family that includes Chirita, Aeschynanthus, Episcia,
Kohleria, Nematanthus, Saintpaulia, Sinningia, Streptocarpus and
other genera.
Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday, September through
May, at 2:00 p.m. As of
September 2008
the meeting location is the Edmund C. Bovey
Building, on the University of Guelph campus. The building is
located on the corner of Gordon St. and South Ring Road
extension.. To see a complete list of our upcoming
meeting dates and topics as well as a map and directions please see our meetings page.
You
are welcome to visit your first meeting or two without joining
to see if you are interested. Feel free to bring a friend you
think might be interested.
